Is the FCD the same as a water filter or softener?
No. The FCD does not filter, treat, or condition water quality — it addresses flow conditions (entrained air and turbulence) that cause a meter to over-register volume. Filters and softeners treat water composition and don’t affect meter accuracy.
If I already have submetering, do I still need this?
